Armeld was an enrolled member of the Confederate Salish and Kootenai Tribe, preceded in death by his wife Gail C. He was preceded in death by both parents, Albert Trahan and Philomene Ducharme.

He remained proud of his heritage and history of his family with the Confederate Salish / Kootenai Tribe.

He returned home to MT many times during his life and always held his love for it in his heart.
